Keep Your Skin Looking Radiant Into Fall Season

Keep Your Skin Looking Radiant Into Fall Season

As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to change color, it's time to start thinking about how to keep your skin looking radiant going into fall. There are a few simple steps you can take to make sure your skin stays healthy and glowing all season long.

Exfoliate Weekly!

One of the most important things you can do for your skin in fall is to exfoliate regularly. As we transition from summer to fall, our skin can start to look dull and feel dry. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells and reveal the healthy, radiant skin underneath. You can use a physical exfoliator, like our Brown sugar scrub or a lighter alternative with our whipped foaming Himalayan detox scrub

If body scrubs are not your thing, then opt-in for a chemical exfoliator that has AHAs ( Alpha-Hydroxy Acids) or BHAs ( Beta Hydroxy Acids). These acids help to slowly remove dead skin and allow younger vibrant skin to resurface. Our Evening Rejuvenation Serum  is packed with two AHAs ( Mandelic Acid & Tranexamic Acid), which helps to reverse signs of aging, boost collagen production, reduce blemishes and help fade dark circles under the eyes!

Key to using any type of exfoliator ( physical or chemical ) is to not to overdo it! Exfoliating too much can actually damage your skin.

Moisturize Daily

Another important step in keeping your skin looking its best is to moisturize. This is especially important in fall, when the air is drier and can strip moisture from your skin. Use a rich, creamy moisturizer like our facial moisturizer cream every morning and night to help keep your skin hydrated and looking plump and healthy. If you have oily or combination skin and prefer a lighter oil-free moisturizer, then try out our pump 'n' hydrating moisturizer.

Wear Sunscreen

Yes the sun still shines just as bright in the Fall so we need to protect ourselves from UVA and UVB rays, which we know can alter our skin cells and create free radicals in our skin.

In addition to exfoliating and moisturizing, wear sunscreen everyday even if it's cloudy!  Remember to apply at least 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 2 hours while outside or if your sitting next to a window. You can also try to stay out of the sun during the peak hours to minimize your exposure to UVA and UVB rays.

Eat Your Veggies!

Another way to keep your skin looking radiant in fall is to eat nutrient-dense (healthy) diet by incorporating more vegetables and fruits!  Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables will help to keep your skin looking clear and bright due to their powerful antioxidant properties. As always, be sure to drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.

Self-care day? Yes Please!

Finally, don't forget to pamper your skin with a facial mask or at-home spa treatment every once in awhile. A relaxing facial mask like our Duo Clay Mud Mask  can help to reduce stress and give your skin a boost of hydration. And there's nothing like a long, hot bath to soothe your skin (and your soul) on a chilly fall day.

Conclusion:

By following these simple tips, you can keep your skin looking radiant all fall long. Just remember to exfoliate, moisturize, protect from the sun, eat healthy, and pamper yourself every once in awhile. With a little bit of care, you can enjoy beautiful, healthy skin all season long.
